Zhixuan is an urban enthusiast. She builds cities that grow and work for their residents.

Zhixuan is an SSL Software Engineer and a Research Associate at the University of Michigan. She works on teaching machines to read, understand, and AI research in service of urban planners and cities.

Trained in Information Science and Software Engineering at Cornell Tech, she has always been an urbanist disguised as an engineer. SSL is her first venture in melding the two. Ask her about Roosevelt Island history, Beijing city burger rankings, and the long, meditative hours she has recently spent with truck simulators.

When she is not enthusiastically typing on her keyboard, you can find her out biking or bouldering.
